Burying Ground for Strangers, 1815. 
A stranger being someone from outside the city who died leaving sufficient funds to meet the requisite fee.



A enclosed lair, the inscription inside reads : 

The Burial Ground of James Russell
Paper Maker
His Wife and Children
1798


Lair 7 : 

This is the Burial Place
of John Alexander
Merchant in Glasgow
and Grizzal Stevenson
his Spouse who died
the 15th of November
1775
.

Sacred to the Memory of Mary Elder
Relict of John Elder Esquire formerly an
Eminent Physician in the Colony of Demerary (?)
She died on the First Day of April Aged
?? Years.   Elizabeth Bollaertz Daughter
of the aforesaid Mary Elder Died on the
Fourteenth Day of December 1807
Aged 33 Years.
