Kirk Lane Cemetery (1764)

The graveyard nestles amongst the high-rise flats of Pollokshaws almost forgotten. As I wandered around taking my photographs the odd face would appear at a window or a head would turn for a moment on Riverbank Street, but no-one was curious enough to come over and ask "Why?" . . . something I sometimes wonder about myself. Here Lies the Remains of William Liddel who died 3rd Jan 1795 in the 35th year of his age. And is the property  of his Family. This is the burying Place of James Dick. Wright in Pollock- shaws his Wife and their Children 1791.
