This site began in 1998
when I was wondering what to do
with the photographs I'd taken in some of the local graveyards
-
today there's over forty burial grounds from Edinburgh and beyond. Many
of the pages have been fleshed out with a bit of local history - when I've found
the time to do some research - others contain little more than photographs,
maybe some day!!
If you have any queries I'll do
my best to answer them, but be warned, if you expect me to
remember strolling by an ancestor's headstone . . . . well, over
the years I've strolled by thousands of headstones and the chances
of me remembering more than a few is extremely slim. As I said, my interest
is
photography, I'm not a genealogist and other than the
photographs here and many more on my computer, that's all I
have, no burial records I'm afraid.
The purpose of the site is merely to share some of my
photographs - and whether you're looking to see were an ancestor
lies buried or,
like me, you just like wandering around old graveyards - I hope you
enjoy your visit.
