Dunboe Churchyard, Downhill.

From the small town of Downhill, take the A2 and stop at the layby between the Lion's Gate and Bishop's Gate of the ruined Downhill Palace, now owned by the National Trust. The ruined Dunboe Church dates back to the 13th century, today only the side walls remain. It had been repaired by The Clothworkers’ Company in 1622 but was abandoned for the new church in Articlave in 1691. In the south-west corner of the graveyard is the mausoleum of the Harvey-Bruce family, built in 1810.
